Hello,
and I'm glad you're curious about the Downtown San Jose Kiwanis.
We are a fun-loving group of men and women interested in joining
together to help the needy children and elderly within our community.
We work together to raise funds that are directly returned back
to the people within our local community that need it most. The
membership ranges in age from the 20s to the 80s with the majority
falling in the mid range; most are career professionals or happily
retired individuals. Everyone pitches in at their own pace and
throughout the year as we raise over $125,000 through fund raisers
like Christmas in the Park, our Christmas tree lot, The Turnaround
Scholarship Drive, the Grand Prix Food Booth and others.
We are volunteers that are just like you, interested in helping.
Many in our organization give of their time, many give of their
money, many give of their resources and some do all three. It
does not matter how much time or money you wish to contribute
to worthy causes, it just matters that you want to participate
and make a positive difference in our wonderful community. Give
us a call at 408-282-3822 and we would be glad to answer your
questions and invite you to a free lunch at the downtown Crown
Plaza to see how Kiwanis works.
